I scanned the book "The Future of Reputation." It is interesting to read, although it addressed more solutions for protection of privacy in legal and government policies.
What hits me is this: someone's reputation in the Internet could be an asset that can be destroyed very quickly. Rumors spread very fast and often times over-presenting the truths of the story.
This tells me that good reputation as an asset in the Internet must be vigorously monitored.
