DIYEL #14 See a therapist to cure yourself of the disease, CONTENT-ITIS

Doctors tell us that some of us may be predisposed to a certain disease because our bodies already carry some degree or level of the virus that causes it. When an individual actually contracts the ailment, it is probably because certain circumstances or conditions have activated the virus.

Content-itis (over-emphasis on requiring learners to learn
all content) is a disease we acquired as trainers and instructional designers from carrying our “past training” virus (and, also, some remnants from current training literature).

Do-It-Yourselfers are always checking their practices to avoid activating viruses or old habits that could conflict with successful eLearning. If you have Content-itis, please see a therapist.
